Humans start wildfires in several ways, either by accident or intentionally. For example:

Open burning
Vehicle and engine use
 Industrial activity​​​​​​​
 Fireworks, sky-lanterns, outdoor flame lighting​​​​​​​
 Discarding burning items (cigarettes)​​​​​​​
 Arson
